Thousands of pebbles are placed as if by a paintbrush and form pools and eddies in a dry rock pond.
This pond measures approx 10ft x 4ft in a rough kidney shape and was formerly a cement lined water pond. Not used for years, it was cracked and too deep to safely use for water. I had the liner drilled for drainage and filled with concrete chunks, gravel, dirt, and topped with sand. I then placed 700 lbs of 2" Mexican beach pebbles, one by one, to suggest water.
The step photos are from my latest pond, or rather "splash puddle". Only 3 ft in diameter, the rocks are Mini (about 1") Mexican Beach Pebbles and radiate outward in a dynamic starburst pattern from the center "splash" rock.
